About Me
Photo: Tower Grove Park, St. Louis, Mo.
As an instructional designer, I bring a strategic and learner-centered approach to my work.
My experience comes from years of video production work, communications, technical writing, and instructional design. I’m passionate about building engaging materials that make sense to a learner. I believe in a scaffolding approach that uses a strong foundation before moving learners to more difficult topics.
My bachelor’s degree was in Communications, with a concentration in Digital Media Production. During this time, I managed video shoots, interned in Los Angeles, and interned for communications specialists within the marketing department of FSU. Afterwards, I moved into instructional design by earning a Master of Science Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies. With my background in digital media, I’m able to creatively think of how to use adult learning theories in different modalities and how to elevate the visual design.
I’ve really grown in my visual design skills, and I realized it was time to bring my corporate strategy expertise up to the same level. That’s why I went back and earned my MBA with a concentration in project management in December 2024. Not long after, in November 2025, I capped it off by earning my Project Management Professional® certification. Together, those milestones reflect how I’ve blended creativity with strategy to take my work to the next stage.
